Hello readers! Today I want to show you the TBR I made for summer and autumn (and I forgot to make one for winter) and see if I managed to read it all or not. Spoilers: obviously not.
Summer TBR:
Daughter of smoke and bone: read it, 2 stars for me.
Shadow on the lens: read it, beautiful cover, weak plot, only 1 star.
Notre Dame de Paris: still TBR
La verità sul caso Harry Quebert (The truth about Harry Quebert’s affair): read it in August! 2 stars.
Amelia Fang and the Half Moon Holiday: read it between summer and autumn, 5 stars!
Autumn TBR:
Giro di Vite (The turn of the screw): not read it yet.
Sensational: read it, not good as the first one, 2 stars.
The five: regrettably still on TBR.
Yesternight: read it, love the cover, but sadly it ended so bad. 1 star.
Shutter: it was perfect for Halloween, but I didn’t have time to read it!
In the end, I’ve read 6 books on ten, not bad but it could be better!
All the photos are from my Instagram account that you can find here or in the right column.
The challenge is to post some books that I loved and some books that are still on my TBR (please TBR, don’t hurt me), corresponding to each letter of the alphabet.
Personally, I found this challenge on A Book. A Thought. Go and check this great blog!
Please remember that maybe some books will be in Italian. I will write the English title too.
I will probably never stop talking about how much I love The Last necromancer, sorry about that. I’ve read The Lady jewel diviner this year and it’s a lovely regency mystery/romance; if you love art you need to read Lettere a Theo (letters to Theo) the collection of letters written by Vincent Van Gogh to his brother Theo. Un lavoro sporco (A dirty job) is the book that introduces me to Christopher Moore, but after years I have a relationship of love/hate with his books.
Today I’m here to show you my tentative TBR for the Christmasathon a readathon that runs from 1st of December to 31st December.
You can find all the informations on the Twitter profile, I will participate for TEAM ELF!!! I was in doubt, because I love both Elf and The Grinch so much, but I think I have more books suitable for the prompts of Team Elf.
If you see more than one book for prompt, is because I can’t still decide.
I really appreciated the interest you showed with that post, so today I’m here to show you the 5 books with the highest rating on GR that are already on my Owned TBR!
Alfie Brown: the boy with purple eyes: only 16 ratings on this fantasy/middle grade book that I received for free through Instafreebie. Seems interesting, right?
The Godgame collection: I bought it on Amazon for 0,99€. It has only 4 ratings but they are all super positive!
The electrical menagerie: I bought it last week! Give me a good steampunk/historical fiction book and I’m a happy reader!
Today I’m here to share with you my reading resolutions for this year. I know I’m late, sorry!
Reading at least 100 books: in the last month, a certain type of anxiety has risen in me. I own a lot of books, most of them are to be read. So this year, I want to read at least 100 books, but I’m planning on reading between 8 and 10 books per month, so I hope to reach 120 by the end of the year.
Reading the older books on my shelf: some of the books that I still need to read are with me from at least 3 years, so before I went to live in my current home. I’m a little ashamed of that.
Finish some series: I have a lot of series I need to finish, like The Gardella chronicles and The Three Musketeers trilogy.
No more genre that I don’t like: in December I finally decided that I don’t want to try to read genre that I didn’t like in the past, like sci-fi. I have tried and I have failed, and now I’m tired. I will eventually read the older books that I already have, but no more than these.
The 26 books for the A to Z challenge: I’m participating in the A To Z challenge, and I need to read 26 books with specific titles. I’m so excited!
More classic, more non-fiction: in the past years I accumulated a lot of classics I want to read, and last year I think I read…0. Well done, Diana! I discovered that I really like non-fiction books, and I added a lot to my wishlist, so I hope to read it more this year! I began with Bedlam that was bad, but now I’m reading All That Remains and it’s so good!
And these are my resolutions! What do you think? Do you set a goal on Goodreads?
