Hello readers, another month is finished and finally is Autumn!! My favorite season of the year!
In September I managed to read 11 books, with a return, one book DNF.
5 stars:
Nightmare was an ARC I received via Booksirens: it’s a horror really dark and violent, I couldn’t put it down.
Demon road was a surprise for me, because usually I don’t like urban fantasy! I already have the second book on my shelf.
Carnival of monsters was even better than the first book, read my review here!
4 stars:

The adventures of Sophie Mouse are my comfort read this year, you know what I mean? They’re delicate, and lovely and soft, and I need these type of story, every now and then.
3 stars:
Monarchs of the sea is a non-fiction book about cephalopods, really detailed, but my ARC copy was so difficult to read.
Herding Cats, because we love cats!
What if? was funny and a little bit worrying, I didn’t understand some of the most specific question about astronomy, but it was interesting.
1 star + DNF:
I thought that The Amazing imagination machine was a fantasy middle grade, but it sounded more like YA, with 2 animals dead in the first 20 pages, so I DNF it.
My best friend’s exorcism was a delusion for me, I didn’t like the violence against the animals, the racism hidden beneath the 1980s setting, and other things.
The house with chicken legs has a beautiful cover, an interesting plot, but I couldn’t stand the main character.
The alchemy of murder is an historical crime fiction featuring Nellie Bly and Jules Verne that needs a good editor. Oh, and to remove the romance from the plot, thank you.
That was my reading month, how was yours?
Tell me in the comments!
